We’re excited to announce that we’ll be hosting three collaborative stand-out events during London Cocktail Week this October! Beginning with award-winning New York bar Katana Kitten (expect a Japanese-British fusion experience), followed by an immersive evening curated by experimental Indian gin brand, Stranger & Sons, and winding down the week with the aptly named ‘Two Fellas Who Look and Sound Really Similar Behind The Bar For The Night.’
Reservations for all events are highly advised, click the ‘BOOK’ button at the top of the page to reserve your place.
Fitz’s X Katana Kitten: 4 October
Get ready London…on Friday 4 October, our New York friends Katana Kitten – newly-crowned ‘Best New American Bar’ awarded by the Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards – are in town to help us throw a party like no other.
Kick off London Cocktail week with legendary Owner and Head Bartender of Katana Kitten, Masahiro Urushido, and our very own Director of Bars, Sean Fennelly, who have created a spectacular menu working Japanese ingredients into time-honoured touchstones of British drinking. Enjoy live music while you sip on serves such as the ‘Hebi Kami’, a light-hearted riff on a ‘Snakebite & Black’ or Katana Kitten’s infamous ‘Umami Situation’, a theatrically prepared tableside combination of sake, salted lemon and Atlantic prawn heads, some may call it bizarre, but we’ll let you decide…
We’ll be open from 5pm, with the Katana Kitten team joining us from 7pm till late.
This event is in association with Artisanal Brand Company.
The Queens, The Pickle & The Police: 6 October
On Sunday 6 October, we’re teaming up with new gin on the block, Stranger & Sons, to transport you to India with Indian-inspired cocktails, canapés and a secret bar!
Your journey begins at a traditional Ittar (perfume) stall as you enter Fitz’s, before being treated to a welcome cocktail and asked to select your favourite fragrance from an array of aromatic Indian scents. Your choice will identify which of the bespoke Stranger & Sons cocktails will be available to you once inside, where bar queen and award-winning mixologist Beckaly Franks (of The Pontiac, Hong Kong) will join ‘The Queens’ of Fitz’s for one-night-only to celebrate women in the drinks industry.
On the bar menu will be a selection of Stranger & Sons’ Gibson and Gimlet signature serves, served with homemade pickles. A live band will keep the celebrations going until the early hours, with partygoers fuelled by Indian-inspired canapés.
Make sure you keep your eyes open for a hidden bar entrance amongst the revelry where you’ll find revered Indian mixologists Devender Kumar and Jeet Rana, Stranger & Sons’ Head Ambassador serving exclusive, inventive cocktails inspired by the traditional flavours of India in the secret Permit Room. Just don’t get caught by the police!
Event runs from 6pm till late.
Two Fellas Who Look and Sound Really Similar Behind The Bar For The Night: 13 October
We’re not going to overcomplicate things here – it’s exactly what it says on the tin. To mark the end of London Cocktail Week, Fitz’s alumni Oli Kritzler, now of Otherworld, and Bryn Lovell of Sheffield bar, Public, will take over Fitz’s on Sunday 13 October. Simply put, both bartenders have an uncanny similarity in looks, sound and behaviour.
For your entertainment only, look in wonder and observe these talented doppelgängers as we wind down the industries event of the year.
Open from 5pm till late.
